About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Violence Counsellor and Support Worker to join our well-established counselling team in Sunbury.

This is an excellent opportunity to work with a genuine values-based organisation that prioritises the well-being of individuals and families affected by family violence.

The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of family violence issues, as well as a solid understanding of counselling skills and group work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver therapeutic interventions to individuals and families experiencing family violence
  • Complete administration tasks, including client documentation and team support duties
  • Collaborate with colleagues to provide comprehensive support services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Degree-level qualifications in social work, psychology, counselling, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering therapeutic interventions to individuals and families experiencing family violence
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and time management skills
