Job Title: Family Violence Solicitor - Mallee Family Care Community Legal Centre

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Family Violence Solicitor to join our team at Mallee Family Care Community Legal Centre. As a Family Violence Solicitor, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and support to women who have experienced or are experiencing family violence.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide legal advice and support to women who have experienced or are experiencing family violence
* Work closely with the MFCCLC team, including the HJP team members and MCH staff
* Assist and empower women who disclose family violence
* Provide client support using a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach
* Engage in the integrated practice framework to provide legal advice, support, and advocacy to women experiencing or at risk of experiencing family violence

Requirements:

* A current practicing certificate as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of Victoria
* Demonstrated relevant experience in a legal setting and in court representation
* Specific knowledge required to undertake a specialist role within the organisation and experience both in family violence and family law casework
* A current driver's licence and a willingness to travel with preparedness to be accommodated overnight on outreach regularly
