We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Practitioner to join our team at Western Health. As a key member of our Family Violence Response team, you will play a critical role in providing support and services to individuals and families affected by family violence.
About the Role:- Provide short-term support and advice to individuals impacted by family violence, including referrals to relevant services.
- Conduct child wellbeing checks and assessments, and complete risk assessments on individuals using violence.
- Work collaboratively with other agencies and services to ensure a comprehensive response to family violence.
- Develop and maintain relationships with community partners and stakeholders to promote the Orange Door service and its benefits.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge in family violence response and child wellbeing.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, with substantial experience in family violence response and child wellbeing.
- Demonstrated experience working with children, families, and individuals with complex needs and risk issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks and responsibilities effectively.
- A supportive and collaborative work environment.
