The Clinical Adviser Healthcare position at NSW Health is a key role in promoting and supporting improved clinical care, safety, and quality across the public health system in New South Wales.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical expertise in infection prevention and control and infectious diseases to support the Chief ICP and the work of the Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) and Healthcare Associated Infection (HAI) team.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with external stakeholders, particularly at a Local Health District and Specialty Network level, to facilitate a culture of safety and the measurement of the quality of care.
- Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve infection prevention and control outcomes, and contribute to the development of policies and guidelines related to healthcare quality and safety.
- Registered medical practitioner qualified as Specialists under the Staff Specialists (State) Award and with extensive specialist clinical experience related to infection prevention and control and infectious diseases or clinical microbiology.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, and motivational skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Commitment to outstanding customer service, innovative thinking, and a 'can-do' attitude.
