Job Title: Activities Coordinator

This part-time fixed-term position involves leading the development and delivery of activities that foster engagement among clients of MSIR and AOD programs. The coordinator will provide leadership for events and activities at MSIR, on NRCH premises, and off-site to promote social connection, client engagement with staff and the community, and participation in various social and recreational activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage effectively with clients of MSIR and AOD programs
  • Uphold and promote the dignity of all service users and raise awareness in the community
  • Identify opportunities for client activities and events consistent with program objectives
  • Develop and deliver an activities program for MSIR and AOD clients
  • Conduct risk assessments and detailed project planning (including staff, resources, and budget) for activities and events
  • Work with the NRCH Communications and Community Engagement Team to ensure activities are supported and promoted across NRCH
  • Provide leadership to other NRCH staff involved in client activities and events

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Qualifications in AOD, Welfare or Social Sciences, Psychology, Public Health, Nursing, or equivalent
  • Experience in consulting with clients; planning, coordinating, and running activities
  • Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with vulnerable people
  • Experience working in a trauma-informed model of care

Please note mandatory immunisations/vaccinations are required prior to commencement of employment based on the Immunisation Category their position falls under.
