Job Title: Leisure & Activities Coordinator

About the Role:

The Leisure and Activities Coordinator plays a key role in designing, developing and implementing activities that cater to the diverse needs of residents. This includes understanding individual lifestyles, hobbies, and spiritual requirements.

Huntly Suites is part of a new development in Victoria.

Main Responsibilities Include:

  • Care planning, designing, and developing group and one-on-one care programs for residents based on their lifestyle, hobbies, and spiritual needs.
  • Designing and planning activities aligned with resident interests and needs that can be carried out by the care team.
  • Promoting relationships with families and carers for the health and wellbeing of residents through activity liaison and assessments.

About You:

  • Certificate IV Leisure and Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience in activity planning, implementation, and evaluation for frail people with cognitive impairment and disabilities.
  • Ability to document assessments, care plans, and progress notes to meet legislative, funding, and quality improvement requirements.
  • Current VIC Driver's License.
  • A high level of honesty and integrity.
  • Ability to understand and use information technology and learn new skills as required.
