Effective Leader and Ethical Expert Required

The role of Compliance Manager, Ethics is a key position within the organization. The successful candidate will oversee the efficient processing of professional standards and ethical consultations.
This involves managing workflow systems and processes, maintaining necessary records, receiving and undertaking preliminary assessments of alleged breaches of the AASW Code of Ethics and Practice Standards against criteria and determining jurisdiction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct management and leadership support to the team.
- Directly accountable for the morale and engagement of direct reports and their professional development.
- Liaising with and providing secretariat support to relevant parties.
- Providing guidance to Ethics Professional Standards Officers to deliver ethics consultations to members seeking advice.
Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Law, Quality and Risk or Professional Complaints and Misconduct Management.
- Knowledge and experience in complaint and misconduct management and the use of alternative dispute resolution and mediation strategies.
- Sound understanding of natural justice, administrative law, and good governance principles.
- Demonstrated experience in professional standards and compliance roles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
