Discrimination and Disputes Resolution Specialist

The Legal Division provides support services to deliver the department's strategic objectives. The Senior Lawyer, Workplace Discrimination and Disputes Law Unit advises on and manages discrimination, human rights, employment, migration, occupational health and safety law matters and government litigation.
About the Role- Manage requests for advice and litigation brought against the department.
- Brief external firms and directly brief barristers.
- Represent the department in mediations and conciliations in Commissions, Courts and Tribunals.
- Advise on and manage discrimination, human rights, employment, migration, occupational health and safety law matters.
- Manage significant, sensitive and high profile litigation in Commissions, Courts and Tribunals.
