About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Estimator to join our team at Aptus, specializing in Insurance Repairs and Restoration. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for various projects, including repairs resulting from fire, flood, and storm damage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for residential and commercial insurance repair projects.
  • Lead the submission of bids, ensuring compliance with project requirements and competitive pricing strategies.
  • Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to determine the scope, materials, labor, and timelines.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to gather up-to-date cost data.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop solutions to mitigate cost and schedule impacts.
  • Support value engineering efforts to optimize project efficiency and maintain budget targets.
  • Stay current with industry trends, material costs, and construction methods to ensure estimates reflect market conditions.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably within insurance repair or restoration.
  • Strong understanding of the construction industry, materials, and local building regulations.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., CostX, Buildsoft) and Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail with a track record of producing accurate and timely estimates.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
