Senior Practitioner Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Practitioner to join our team in Mount Isa with outreach to Normanton and Cloncurry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to program planning, review monitoring and evaluation activities, ensuring efficient, effective and appropriate service provision, including documentation and maintenance of all client records as required.
  • Proactive management and review of program processes, work instructions and ensure team members are working within these frameworks.
  • Deliver high-quality casework, fostering capacity in others through regular case reviews, Outcomes Star measures and completion of progress reports as required.
  • Coach, mentor and motivate team members to achieve program goals, assisting with induction of new staff and supporting staff in case discussions.
  • Maintain comprehensive, professional, up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality at all times.
  • Work from a trauma-informed and child development practice framework, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Complete regular safety assessments and support team members in undertaking this work as needed.
  • Participate in line management meetings, supervision, team meetings and staff days as required.
  • Support the program manager in managing referrals, assessing referrals and related administrative tasks.
  • Demonstrate leadership by coaching, mentoring and motivating team members to achieve program goals; assist with induction of new staff and support staff in case conceptualization and planning as required.
