Job Overview

The Bruce Highway Targeted Safety Program is a comprehensive initiative to enhance the safety and efficiency of the highway. The program involves infrastructure improvements, including wide centre line treatments, audio tactile line marking, intersection upgrades, rest areas, pavement strengthening, overtaking lanes, and narrow structure upgrades.

This initiative aims to reduce crash severity and frequency, particularly between Gympie and Cairns, through targeted measures that prioritize road user safety.

About the Role

In this key role, you will oversee the planning and delivery of critical components of the Queensland Transport and Road Investment Program (QTRIP) and provide expert technical advice on associated infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the delivery and ongoing development of QTRIP projects, identifying gaps and deficiencies across the network.
  • Lead a team of internal and external resources engaged in delivering various programs, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination.
  • Develop project management plans and provide regular reports on progress, expenditure, and forecasting.
  • Evaluate project effectiveness and efficiency, implementing changes to improve productivity and setting strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Establish performance management systems to support the delivery of program works and individual projects.
