We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant to join our healthcare team on a casual basis, providing support across multiple hospital departments.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services who is passionate about delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

  • Provide direct patient care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
  • Support clinical teams by monitoring vital signs, assisting with ECGs, and maintaining accurate observations.
  • Contribute to a safe and welcoming environment, prioritising patient wellbeing and comfort at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist clinical staff in providing high-quality care and patient support.
  • Provide transport services using hospital-approved equipment and vehicles.
  • Assist patients on admission and help them settle comfortably.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient rooms and shared areas in line with infection control standards.
About the Role:
  • You thrive in a busy hospital setting, are able to adapt quickly to changing demands, and consistently uphold high standards of service and professionalism.

To be successful, you will have:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care, Health Services, or equivalent.
  • Experience working in a clinical hospital setting.
  • Strong understanding of infection control, manual handling, and hospital safety procedures.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.

Bonus qualifications and experience:

  • Currently studying Nursing (Year 2 or 3).
  • Certificate IV in Health Services Assistance.
