Regulatory Affairs Specialist

This is a 12-month contract role in the food industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist R&D with product formulation and recipes for regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure nutrition aspects of recipes and products meet global guidelines.
  • Train staff on labeling systems and guidelines.
  • Support QA with ingredient verification and product information.
  • Provide nutrition input to maintain product integrity.
  • Ensure accurate and compliant labeling and claims.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on consumer and industry queries.
  • Contribute to industry working groups and discussions on food regulation.
  • Submit responses to regulatory proposals and applications.
  • Arrange and review product analysis for compliance.
  • Provide regulatory input on new product development and product improvements.
  • Maintain systems for accurate and timely labeling and artwork approvals.
  • Compile and update nutrition and allergen data charts.
About You/Qualifications:
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Specifications Admin, NPD, QA, Technical Operations, or Food legislation, with a background in the food industry and application of food science knowledge.
  • Foood Science Knowledge: Good understanding of food ingredients, additives, and regulations to support ingredient specification and apply food science knowledge.
  • Regulatory Awareness: Awareness of food regulations and experience with food legislation to ensure compliance.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrates a strong attention to detail.
