Technical Quality Lead

This role offers the opportunity to shape a technical direction and drive industry-leading best practices across all tribes in Australia.

The successful candidate will define, build, and maintain a comprehensive quality framework and engineering practices for the bank. This includes establishing standards, policies, and processes to ensure a best-of-breed engineering quality practice.

You will be instrumental in creating a culture that values quality engineering excellence, spanning requirements, system development/engineering, and quality domains. You will collaborate with peers and chapter leads to implement improvements across these domains, resulting in enhanced end-to-end quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the strategy and execution of a software quality practice aligned to the E2E delivery framework.
  • Adopt and steer industry best practice quality frameworks to capture functional and non-functional requirements, ensuring traceability and quality as part of the delivery framework.
  • Enable the technical direction for quality tooling, frameworks, and processes.
  • Collaborate with customer journey (analyst) and software engineering chapter leads to improve end-end quality processes and outcomes.
  • Work closely with test chapter leads to ensure quality standards, policies, and KPIs are met.
  • Collaborate with ING global to standardize the quality practice.
  • Ensure vendors provide test services that meet ING standards.
Requirements:
  • Expert knowledge and experience of the full lifecycle of quality and end-to-end software testing framework design.
  • Experience working on homogenization of standardized test automation frameworks, developing frameworks, defining tooling strategies, mocking, and service virtualization.
  • Ability to advocate quality engineering principles, practices, and tools across the organization.
  • Proficient with Azure DevOps. Bonus points for certifications and functional knowledge of one other cloud service provider like GCP or AWS.
