We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our team on the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture project. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a major infrastructure project and contribute to its success.
About the ProjectThe Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture is a 50/50 joint venture between CPB Contractors and Downer, undertaking major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities to support Defence capability for the next 30 years.
The proposed project consists of a program of works across three Department of Defence establishments including Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks, and RAAF Base Wagga.
The proposed capital investment of $1.7 billion will incorporate various elements including construction of new messing and living-in accommodation, construction of new training facilities, refurbishment and upgrading of existing buildings, and remedial works and upgrades to infrastructure services.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for monitoring the project plan and recording progress against the program, resolving engineering issues, managing the administration of subcontractors, ensuring technical matters with the project are compliant, and driving a zero-harm safety culture on site.
Your responsibilities will include contributing to a safe work culture and ensuring works are delivered to legislative and project standards, reviewing and understanding construction drawings, specifications, and method statements, liaising and communicating with foremen and subcontractors on a daily basis to achieve target outcomes, and ensuring project delivery is compliant with project standards.
You will also be required to ensure on-site works are delivered to quality standards, complete all relevant documentation, participate in and maintain cost management of daily activities, prepare documentation for procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, and ensure allocated work packages and resources are managed to ensure costs are within or below budget.
To be successful in this role, you must have a tertiary qualification in engineering, 1-2 years' experience in a similar role, excellent subcontractor management skills, good written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships internally and externally.
