Job Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a Sous Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring consistent food quality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Head Chef in managing and training a diverse kitchen team
- Implement and manage Food Safety Plans
- Prepare and cook menu items as per cooking guidelines and set standards
- Work in conjunction with the Head Chef to develop and implement menus
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ensure all food safety procedures are being followed
Requirements:
- Hold a Certificate 3 or 4 in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Food Handlers Certificate
- Experience working in a pub/bistro fast-paced environment
- Well-versed in all kitchen areas with hands-on experience
- Ability to follow and give directions when required
- Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Full working rights in Australia
