Construction Project Coordinator Role

5B is a pioneering solar energy company accelerating access to low-cost, safely deployed, gigawatt-scale solar energy. Our modular, prefabricated solar solution, Maverick, redefines deployment and construction of solar projects in Australia and internationally.

As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in determining the most efficient construction methodology for our projects. Based in Mascot, you will be responsible for coordinating and communicating with consultants, engineering teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure that civil design requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and communicate civil design requirements with consultants, engineering teams, clients, and subcontractors
  • Provide geotechnical, civil, and structural support to sales, delivery, and engineering teams
  • Attend site visits to determine or confirm project requirements
  • Participate in project risk assessments and site safety inspections
  • Evaluate or subcontract geological, civil, and structural studies for small to major projects
  • Develop detailed design, technical specification documents, and reports
  • Liaise with third-party geotechnical, civil, and structural engineers or other specialist service providers
  • Use existing tools and software to determine cut and fill, earthworks, drainages, costs, etc.

Requirements:

  • Degree-qualified in engineering with at least 3 years of experience in large-scale utility solar and/or civil and construction
  • Experience in Civil, Construction, Solar Engineering, and Project Costing would be preferable
