Job Title: Coastal Engineering Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a talented Coastal Engineer to join our team and work on large-scale coastal projects. As a specialist, you will be involved in the design and planning of maritime facilities, ports, and infrastructure.

You will apply your existing experience across different industries, including defence, local government, and sustainability. Our team works on a variety of projects, such as clean energy initiatives, boating infrastructure, wharf and port development, and remediation of valuable public assets.

This role will see you leveraging your coastal engineering experience to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support. While this is primarily a technical role, you will have opportunities for leadership and business development.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, evaluate, and report on ports, harbours, coastal works, and marine structures.
  • Utilize coastal modelling software (DELFT-3D, SWAN, MIKE).
  • Work with local governments, port clients, and/or the Defence sector.
  • Familiarity with Australian design codes and guidelines.
  • Project manage and/or design manage small maritime projects.
  • Meet requirements for Chartered Professional Engineer or achieve chartership within an agreed timeframe.
  • Hold tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Obtain Australian Government security clearance.
