Job Opportunity: Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced leader to lead our dispute resolution team in Melbourne. You will be part of a diverse team making a positive impact on someone's life every day.

You'll feel great satisfaction knowing your talent and hard work has a purpose. As part of our team, you will help ensure fair, timely, and effective resolution of disputes between injured workers, employers, and insurers.

The Role:
  • Work collaboratively with the Group Manager to develop and implement a proactive approach to Dispute Resolution and conciliatory matters.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals and administration assistants, providing supervision, coaching, and performance development.
  • Oversee intake, assessment, and resolution of disputes, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and policy.
  • Promote and facilitate early resolution practices including conciliation.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including legal representatives, and regulatory bodies.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex disputes, preferably in a Vic Workers Compensation or regulatory environment.
  • Strong understanding of early resolution principles and Victorian Worker's Compensation legislation.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to lead teams in high-pressure environments with empathy and professionalism including team building, coaching, mentoring, performance management and change management
