Design Learning Experiences

As an Instructional Designer, you will play a key role in creating engaging learning content for internal audiences.

The Fair Work Ombudsman is seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team and contribute to the development of online and face-to-face course content.

  • Develop high-quality learning courses that achieve intended learning outcomes, including interactive resources, summative and formative assessments, and screen capture tutorials.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training materials are consistent, up-to-date, and align to agency-wide learning strategies.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of learning experiences and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Design and develop learning content that meets the needs of diverse learners.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other partners to ensure learning experiences are designed to improve learner outcomes.

About the Role:

Selection Criteria:

  • You will be comfortable working in a complex environment and have excellent interpersonal and professional communication skills to enable collaboration across the Agency.
  • Sound knowledge of eLearning and adult learning principles, and experience designing and developing appropriate methods for learning and assessment both online and face-to-face.
  • Proven experience in working with relevant systems and software to support the development of storyboards, videos and online content.
  • Experience working with Learning Management Systems, particularly Moodle.
  • Sound time management and project management skills, preferably in agile product development methodology.
