About the Opportunity

Job Summary

The Technical Systems Specialist plays a key role within the Student Systems team, focusing on delivering strategic improvement projects. This position requires developing and maintaining expertise in student systems and supporting infrastructure, collaborating across organisational units, conducting requirements analysis, managing system upgrades, supporting day-to-day operations, and creating operational reports.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop Expert Knowledge: Develop and maintain expert knowledge of data elements, student systems, and supporting platforms.
  2. Implement System Changes: Implement system changes, including analysis, testing, and deployment.
  3. Research Opportunities: Research and identify opportunities for system improvements.
  4. Provide Training and Mentorship: Provide training and mentorship to team members.
  5. Contribute to Team Leadership: Contribute to team leadership.
Requirements

This role requires individuals with strong knowledge of IT platforms and protocols, leadership experience and influencing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, organisational and project management skills.
