Seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Manager to oversee and maintain total operation of the hostel. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and outstanding leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operations including staffing, rostering, event planning, functions, stocktaking, and financial reporting.
  • Implement and ongoing follow-up of company training procedures and customer service goals.
  • Ensure the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the complex meets company standards and is in proper working order inside and outside.
  • Ensure that staff is in proper uniform and neat in appearance.
  • Enforce and practice safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
  • Manage budgets and expenses, analyze and interpret financial information, and monitor sales and profits.
  • Develop and implement an intuitive and efficient marketing strategy to promote the hotel's services.
  • Communicate with customers when appropriate and respond to all guest complaints.
  • Collaborate with external parties such as suppliers, travel agencies, event/conference planners, etc.
  • Assign duties to staff and schedule shifts.
  • Schedule and attend monthly employee meetings.
  • Responsibility of covering all shifts.
  • Providing friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reporting for work in a timely manner when scheduled with regular and consistent attendance.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years' relevant work experience
  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation, problem-solving, conflict resolution, fluency in English, knowledge of other languages is a plus
  • Understanding of all hotel management best practices and relevant laws and guidelines
  • Excellent customer service skills as well as a business mindset
  • Demonstrable aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving
  • Reliable with an ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Outstanding leadership skills and a great attention to detail

Benefits:

$65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
