About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-focused individual to join our Airside Ground Crew team at Ballina Airport. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient handling of aircraft operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform bagroom functions, including scanning and manual handling of luggage, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Load and unload baggage and freight efficiently, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Manage aircraft receipt and dispatch procedures, ensuring timely and safe operations.
  • Execute aircraft pushback operations safely, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide essential water and waste services, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Operate ground service equipment on the ramp, adhering to manufacturer instructions and safety guidelines.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A valid Driver's License (including Provisional License).
  • Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Audio tests (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
  • Capability of obtaining an ASIC card (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Capacity to undertake shifts between 4-10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work shifts spanning 05:00 - 23:00.
  • Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
  • Available for a 1-week full-time paid training.
