ABOUT THE ROLE

This role presents an exciting opportunity to be part of the frontline team responsible for the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations. Your responsibilities will include crucial tasks such as managing bagroom operations, loading and unloading cargo, operating specialized equipment, and ensuring accurate receipting and dispatching of aircraft. Each day will bring new challenges and the chance to make a significant impact.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct bagroom operations, including scanning and manual handling of luggage.
  • Efficiently load and unload baggage and freight.
  • Oversee aircraft receipt and dispatch processes.
  • Safely execute aircraft pushback operations.
  • Provide essential water and waste services.
  • Operate ground service equipment on the ramp.

  • Base hourly rate of $25.40, exclusive of shift penalties and superannuation.

  • Adaptability: Show flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and conditions in a dynamic airport setting.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • High proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A valid Driver's License (including Provisional License).
  • Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Audio tests (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
  • Capability of obtaining an ASIC card (cost reimbursed after 6 months of employment).
  • Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and Public Holidays.
  • Capacity to undertake shifts between 4-10 hours per day.
  • Ability to work shifts spanning 05:00 - 23:00.
  • Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
  • Availability for a 1-week full-time paid training.
