Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our airside operations team, playing a crucial role in maintaining the safety and efficiency of aircraft operations. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including managing baggage operations, utilizing specialized equipment, and ensuring the accurate receipt and dispatch of aircraft.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct bagroom operations, including the scanning and manual handling of luggage.
  • Efficiently load and unload baggage and freight.
  • Oversee aircraft receipt and dispatch processes.
  • Safely execute aircraft pushback operations.
  • Provide essential water and waste services.
  • Operate ground service equipment on the ramp.

  • Competitive pay rates exceeding the Award.
  • Base hourly rate of $25.40, exclusive of shift penalties and superannuation.
  • 11.5% superannuation contributions.
  • Shift penalties for early morning, evening, and overnight shifts.
  • Additional pay for weekend work (time and a half on Saturdays, double time on Sundays).
  • Uniform provided by the company.
  • Extensive paid training and enrollment in a Certificate III course.
  • Fatigue management strategies in place.
  • Flexible rosters published two weeks in advance.

Candidate Profile

Essential Requirements

  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • A valid Driver's License (including Provisional License).
  • Ability to pass Drug, Alcohol, and Audio tests.
  • Capability to obtain an ASIC card.
  • Willingness to work a 7-day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays.
  • Capacity to undertake shifts ranging from 4 to 10 hours per day.
  • Availability for shifts between 05:00 and 23:00.
  • Commitment to a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight.
  • Availability for a full-time paid training period.
