Job Title: Head of Student Life

The Head of Student Life plays a pivotal role in leading the strategic and operational direction of our Student Life strategy, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to enrich the student experience beyond the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Spearhead a multidisciplinary team in delivering comprehensive personal, financial, and social support services to enhance student wellbeing and success.
  • Expert Advice: Provide counsel to senior stakeholders on critical incident management, international student compliance, and support.
  • Student Engagement and Support: Foster a sense of belonging by leading the development and implementation of innovative onboarding and transition activities as well as tailored support for diverse student communities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure holistic support for at-risk students and equitable academic assistance.
  • Critical Incident Management: Play a leading role in the university's Critical Incident Management Team, ensuring swift and effective responses to student incidents in alignment with university policies.

For this role, we seek an individual with a relevant tertiary qualification and substantial relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience. Strong leadership skills and knowledge in crisis management, case management, and social work are essential, particularly in a university environment.
