Strategic Leadership Position

The Deputy Registrar and Executive Director (Students) is a key role that drives the strategic leadership, management, and continuous improvement of Student Services within the Academic Registrar's Division.

This position plays a crucial part in fostering a student-centered approach, promoting innovation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic direction for Student Services, aligning its goals with Education Portfolio objectives and fostering a high-performance culture focused on student success.
  • Exercise delegated authority to make significant autonomous decisions, ensuring alignment across internal and external policies and practices.
  • Oversee a broad range of Registrar functions, consulting with the Academic Registrar as needed.
  • Lead optimization of business processes for quality, efficiency, and student satisfaction, ensuring effective resolution of issues and compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with higher education regulations, standards, and governance frameworks, conducting internal audits and reviews as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with faculty, staff, students, and external partners, representing the Academic Registrar in committees and working groups.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the Student team, promoting a high-performance culture.
  • Oversee financial management within the work area, ensuring effective resource allocation and financial sustainability.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and well-being, ensuring adherence to workplace health and safety policies.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects and activities relevant to the role's key accountabilities.
