Lead Student Learning and Support

This leadership role is responsible for overseeing student learning and support services, psychology, and counselling. The position provides a holistic approach to student wellbeing, integrating strong academic foundations with Christian values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise the student learning and support team, providing clear direction and ensuring staff development.
  • Collaboration: Foster collaboration among stakeholders to create a positive and effective team environment.
  • Specialised Support: Oversee and apply expertise in specialised support services for students, ensuring best practices and consistent implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Resource Management: Coordinate and manage resources and staff to deliver effective support and extension programs for students.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with NCCD requirements, data collection, and audits while overseeing adjustments and provisions for students' needs.
  • Financial Management: Manage financial projections and budgets while contributing to government submissions and reports.
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies and procedures that enhance the operations of the Student Learning and Support department.
Selection Criteria:
  1. A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to supporting the vision of the College.
  2. Knowledge of child safety in an education setting and current Working with Children Check.
  3. NESA teacher registration and post-graduate qualifications in special education.
  4. Substantial experience in leading a team in specialised support services for students.
  5. Demonstrated experience in building processes and systems that support funding and compliance requirements.
  6. Extensive knowledge of NCCD regulations.
  7. Demonstrated experience in the following competencies: Leading and supervising, Working with People, Applying Expertise & Technology, Planning & Organising, Delivering Results & Meeting Customer Expectations.
