Job Summary:

A key leadership role is available for a dedicated and passionate individual who can oversee pastoral care programs and support the wellbeing of students within our school community.

About the Role
  • This full-time, ongoing position reports to the Director of Wellbeing and requires the successful candidate to implement and coordinate pastoral care initiatives that enhance student wellbeing.
  • The Secondary Pastoral Care Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting both students and staff in their educational and personal growth.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with staff on pastoral care initiatives to foster a supportive environment for students.
  • Coordinate sectional events and manage discipline matters effectively.
  • Maintain effective communication with parents to address pastoral and academic concerns.

Key Qualifications:

  • Relevant university/tertiary teaching qualifications from a recognized institution.
  • Registration and accreditation with NESA.
  • Proven experience in pastoral care and student support within an educational setting.
  • Strong communication skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents.
  • A valid, paid Working with Children Check.
  • A genuine Christian faith of reformed persuasion, with active commitment to a local church.

Benefits:

  • This position is remunerated in accordance with the relevant award and includes an approximate 0.6 FTE teaching load.
  • The successful applicant will attract a Position of Responsibility allowance (POR Level 1).
