Policy and Advocacy Advisor Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Policy and Advocacy Advisor to join our team.

  • Develop impactful advocacy initiatives that align with strategic priorities in disability and employment services.
  • Prepare high-quality documentation, including policy papers, briefing notes, and reports, for diverse internal and external audiences.
  • Build relationships with government stakeholders across local, state, and national levels to drive coordinated policy outcomes.
  • Design and deliver public advocacy campaigns that raise awareness and promote policy change.
  • Champion the voice of people with disability by working closely with self-advocates and ensuring advocacy aligns with lived experience and client needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Political Science, Public Relations, Journalism, Law, Economics or Business.
  • Knowledge of the political landscape and legislative processes.
  • In-depth understanding of issues impacting people with disability.
  • Experience in developing compelling narratives to influence decision-makers and the public.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
