About the Role

As a senior expert in employment relations, you will play a crucial part in shaping the government's approach to workplace bargaining negotiations and industrial relations. This is an exceptional opportunity for a skilled professional who can effectively advise, consult, collaborate and negotiate with various stakeholders to achieve collaborative outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have outstanding communication and advocacy skills, as well as a deep understanding of employment relations matters and policies. You will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-level discussion papers, correspondence and advice on complex issues, as well as providing technical and strategic policy advice to public sector entities.

You will also represent the government in intra and inter-governmental forums, working collaboratively with others to identify problems and develop effective solutions. If you are a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, this could be the perfect role for you.

  • Advise, consult, collaborate and negotiate with key stakeholders to promote collaborative industrial relations
  • Advocate on behalf of the government in workplace bargaining negotiations and present to diverse audiences on employment relations matters
  • Prepare and present high-level discussion papers, correspondence and advice on complex employment relations issues
  • Provide technical and strategic policy advice to public sector entities on employment relations matters
  • Represent the government in intra and inter-governmental forums and help solve problems through generating options and identifying relevant risks and mitigation strategies
