Job Title

We are seeking a dedicated Mental Health Professional to join our team in providing specialist perinatal and infant mental health support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including clinic appointments, home visiting, and in-reach into maternity settings.
  • Support parents of infants with significant mental health issues.
  • Offer liaison, referral, and consultation for complex perinatal mental health disorders.
  • Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration to deliver service excellence and patient-centered care.
Selection Criteria / Qualifications:
  • Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications, current full registration with AHPRA, or qualifications in Psychology with a recognised 4-year degree in Psychology and minimum 8 years' experience post-full registration.
  • Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in mental health, with experience working with families of infants where parents are experiencing severe and complex psychosocial and psychiatric problems in the perinatal period.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills.
  • Ability to provide high-level clinical advice and develop educational tools or programs to support service excellence.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply advanced reasoning and independent professional judgment in novel, complex, or critical situations.
  • Experience in leading quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
  • Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel.

This role requires a strong understanding of mental health issues affecting families with infants, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
