The Perinatal and Infant Mental Health Service (PIMHS) is seeking an emotionally intelligent, client-centered, passionate and enthusiastic Senior Clinician to support parents and their infants who are experiencing significant mental health issues.
PIMHS provides time-limited, intensive specialist perinatal and infant mental health support through direct patient care (home visiting, clinic appointments, in-reach) and consultation for severe or complex perinatal mental health disorders.

Responsibilities
PIMHS provides time-limited, intensive specialist perinatal and infant mental health support.
The Senior Clinician will have the ability to support the needs of parents and their infants who are experiencing significant mental health issues, through direct patient care and consultation for complex perinatal mental health disorders.
This includes home visiting, clinic appointments, and in-reach activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Selection Criteria

Social Worker or Occupational Therapist qualifications in accordance with Schedule C of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award; current full registration with AHPRA and/or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or qualifications in Psychology with a 4-year degree in Psychology, full Psy BA registration, and at least 8 years post-registration experience; or current Authority to Practice and registration with AHPRA as an RN with relevant post-qualification experience.
Extensive postgraduate clinical experience in mental health, with experience working with families of infants where parents face severe and complex psychosocial and psychiatric problems in the perinatal period; knowledge of impact on parenting, parent-infant relationships and infant development.
Excellent negotiation, decision-making and advocacy skills with ability to work with diverse stakeholders; ability to provide consultation both within and outside the organisation.
Ability to provide high-level clinical advice and develop education tools or programs to support service excellence.
Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with independent professional judgement; handle novel or complex situations.
Experience leading quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes.
Experience advising managers on clinical service development, practice change and service redesign.
Current unrestricted NSW driver's licence and willingness to travel.
