About the Role

The Category Management professional is responsible for delivering business outcomes in Sales, Profit and Inventory targets for the online portfolio.

This role will implement category strategies and support the wider team in executing the eCommerce category strategy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading commercial discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilizing available data to regularly review performance with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborating across teams & suppliers to deliver customer plans and category activations.
  • Continuously leveraging data & insights to drive continuous improvement and sustainable growth.
  • Optimizing product merchandising across our sites, app and partner sites to maximize profit.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships.

You will have solid commercial acumen and critical thinking, with the ability to manage competing priorities.

Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Experience managing eCommerce site merchandising.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong understanding of Profit and Loss statements.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills; knowledge of SAP highly regarded.
  • Deep knowledge of customers and industries along with best practice to execute category strategy.
  • Understanding of compliance and policy requirements to operate in buying and liquor.
