Service Manager Role

We are seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead our 98-bed residential aged care facility and 14 retirement living units. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for guiding a diverse group of staff, including registered nurses, care staff, allied health professionals, support staff, external healthcare providers, and volunteers.

Your primary focus will be on ensuring high standards of residential care and lifestyle programs that meet or exceed resident needs. This includes implementing and maintaining contemporary clinical practices, overseeing daily activities to maximize efficiency, and maintaining safety for residents, staff, and visitors.

You will also play a crucial role in achieving financial and operational targets, including budget management and resource allocation, to support the sustainability of our service. Additionally, you will develop relationships within the local community to drive and maintain occupancy, enhancing our facility's reputation and integration.

  • Lead a Team: Guide a diverse group of staff to achieve exceptional results
  • Clinical Excellence: Implement and maintain contemporary clinical practices to meet or exceed resident needs
  • Safety and Efficiency: Oversee daily activities to maximize efficiency and maintain safety for residents, staff, and visitors
  • Financial Management: Manage budgets and resources to support the sustainability of our service
  • Community Engagement: Develop relationships within the local community to drive and maintain occupancy
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Experience: At least 5 years of post-graduate experience in aged care or health administration, with recent management experience
  • Qualifications: Current registration as a Registered Nurse or other clinical professional with AHPRA, or postgraduate qualifications in health or business administration
  • Skills: Strong leadership and management abilities, well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in problem-solving and decision-making
