Responsibilities
  • Develop complex forest resource assessments using cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with project investigators to produce high-impact research outcomes.
  • Contribute to publications, present findings at conferences and seminars, and engage with industry partners and government bodies to ensure practical relevance of research.
  • Supervise and contribute to teaching research students primarily at the undergraduate level, fostering a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements
  • A PhD in forest ecology or a related field, with strong GIS and remote sensing skills, and experience designing and implementing field-based research programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in GIS, remote sensing, or participatory mapping, with a track record of publishing research in relevant areas commensurate with experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English, with the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and foster collaborative partnerships.
