Job Description

The primary function of this role is to conduct comprehensive assessments of forest resources. The ideal candidate will utilize remote sensing and participatory GIS mapping techniques to create investment frameworks for sustainable forestry practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement research programs that lead to high-impact publications, conference presentations, and collaborations with industry partners and government bodies.
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of research students, primarily at the undergraduate level.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a PhD in forest ecology or a related field and have strong GIS and remote sensing skills. They must also be able to design and implement field-based research programs while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
