Forest Resource Specialist

Job Summary

As a Forest Resource Specialist, you will lead forest resource assessments using remote sensing and participatory GIS mapping to develop investment frameworks for sustainable forestry.

Collaborate with project investigators to develop high-impact publications and present findings at conferences and seminars. Liaise with industry partners and government bodies to ensure practical relevance of research outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to teaching and supervision of research students primarily at the undergraduate level.
  • Develop high-impact publications and present findings at conferences and seminars.
Requirements
  • PhD in forest ecology or a related field with strong GIS and remote sensing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in GIS, remote sensing, or participatory mapping.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
