About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Rail Signalling Commissioning Manager/Engineer to join our Rail Operations team in Seven Hills, NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing testing and commissioning procedures to ensure compliance with relevant TfNSW standards. Your expertise will be crucial in managing costs, subcontractors, and resources to deliver projects on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure compliance with relevant TfNSW standards.
- Track costs and manage subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery.
- Manage the overall application of project strategies to ensure successful handover to clients and stakeholders.
- Manage the competencies of Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning resources and allocate appropriate resources.
- Undertake compliance reviews and audits for all testing and commissioning work undertaken by Laing O'Rourke.
- Assess and manage the training requirements of Laing O'Rourke Testing and Commissioning resources, including sharing lessons learned from each delivered project.
- Assess the operational readiness of each project to ensure suitability for handover to clients and stakeholders.
- Provide regular reports on progress, issues, and status of all relevant activities.
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in railway signalling, site testing, and commissioning.
- Experience in managing teams for delivery phase of Testing and Commissioning.
- Preparation of Testing and Commissioning documents, including strategy, methodology, work package, procedures, reports, SWMS, JSEAs, etc.
- Sydney Trains and/or ARTC relevant Statement of Competency - Signalling Engineer/Tester in Charge/Commissioning Engineer required.
- Member or Fellow in IRSE (Institute of Railway Signal Engineers).
