About the Role

Laing O'Rourke's Rail Operations business unit is seeking a highly experienced Rail Signalling Commissioning Manager/Engineer to join our team in Seven Hills, NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure compliance with relevant TfNSW standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement testing and commissioning procedures and processes to ensure compliance with relevant TfNSW standards.
  • Manage costs and subcontractors.
  • Oversee the application of project strategies to ensure successful handover to clients and stakeholders.
  • Manage the competencies of Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning resources.
  • Conduct compliance reviews and audits for testing and commissioning work.
  • Assess and manage training requirements for Laing O'Rourke testing and commissioning resources.
  • Provide reports on progress, issues, and status of relevant activities.

About You

  • Minimum 10 years of railway signalling, site testing, and commissioning experience.
  • Experience in managing teams for delivery phase of testing and commissioning.
  • Preparation of testing and commissioning documents.
  • Sydney Trains and/or ARTC relevant Statement of Competency - Signalling Engineer/Tester in Charge/Commissioning Engineer required.
  • Member or Fellow in IRSE (Institute of Railway Signal Engineers).
