Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Prison Chaplain

UnitingCare's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples Workforce Strategy aims to increase the representation of Indigenous Australians in our workforce. To support this goal, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Prison Chaplain who can provide spiritual care and support to prisoners from diverse backgrounds.
The successful applicant will work closely with our team to deliver high-quality pastoral care services to Queensland's correctional centres. This role is an equal opportunity measure under section 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991), requiring applicants to be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent.
To thrive in this position, you will need excellent communication skills, cultural competence, and the ability to work effectively with people from various backgrounds.
