We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Coordinator Equity Projects. This is a fixed-term position available for 23 months, located at La Trobe University's Melbourne (Bundoora) or Victorian regional campuses.

This full-time position involves delivering equity, prevention and inclusion projects and programs, with a focus on addressing gender-based violence, anti-racism and promoting mental health wellbeing and inclusion. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing project actions using evidence-based frameworks and health promotion practice.

  • Develop and implement project plans in accordance with organizational objectives.
  • Support the monitoring of projects through data collection and analysis.
  • Design and manage evaluation plans for projects.

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Health Promotion, Social or Health Sciences, International Development or equivalent, along with at least 5 years of subsequent experience. They should have expertise in designing and delivering social change programs, program evaluation and gender-based violence prevention with workplaces and young people.

Demonstrated knowledge of equity and intersectional practice is essential, as well as a willingness to work towards the prevention of sexual harm, mental health wellbeing, anti-racism, disability inclusion and cis/heterosexism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement project actions using evidence-based frameworks and health promotion practice.
  • Support the monitoring of projects through cross institutional and team-based data collection and analysis.
  • Design and manage evaluation plans for projects.

Suitable Qualifications and Skills:

  • A degree in Health Promotion, Social or Health Sciences, International Development or equivalent with at least 5 years subsequent experience; or an equivalent alternate combination of relevant knowledge, training and/or experience.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of social change programs, program evaluation, gender-based violence prevention with workplaces and young people.
  • Demonstrated in-depth contemporary knowledge of equity and intersectional practice, and willingness to work towards the prevention of sexual harm, gender-based violence, mental health wellbeing, anti-racism, disability inclusion and cis/heterosexism.
