About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join our team in Australia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for undertaking pre- and post-contract client-facing duties for our Real Estate, Defence, and Infrastructure projects.

Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional cost management services, including MEP cost planning, estimating, cost reporting, procurement, contract, and commercial management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission management experience
  • Pre-contract cost management experience
  • Post-contract cost management experience
  • Tender analysis experience
  • Procurement and contract advisory experience
  • Commercial reporting experience
  • Variation assessment experience
  • Team training and best practice
  • Leading complex projects and programs as the key client interface
  • Developing working relationships, problem-solving, and driving projects to successful completion
  • Managing the design process to achieve client requirements and manage expectations
  • Reviewing project plans and specifications, scheduling, costs saving measures, discrepancies, potential construction problems, etc.
  • Managing project safety and environmental requirements
  • Managing project timelines, risks, and reporting
  • Managing project budgets and advising on options to keep budget on track
  • Chairing project/site meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors
  • Engagement with marketing and business development initiatives

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a RICS, AIQS qualification with a Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or MEP Engineering degree.
