We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Risk Director at Insignia Financial. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced risk management leader to join our team and contribute to the organization's success.

As Risk Director, you will be responsible for ensuring a sound risk culture across Asset Management, Finance, and ESG activities. You will play a key role in developing and implementing risk management strategies that align with the organization's objectives and regulatory requirements.

Your primary focus will be on leading a high-performing team of risk specialists who will provide end-to-end Line 2 risk oversight to enable the business to meet its objectives in a safe and commercially sound manner. You will be instrumental in delivering better risk outcomes for Insignia, thereby supporting better client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building and maintaining a strong and highly regarded Risk Management team
  • Providing effective Line 2 review and challenge across Insignia's Asset Management, ESG, and Finance areas
  • Delivering risk management expertise and considered advice aligned to established risk frameworks
  • Using your depth of experience, assisting with the growth and development of team members
  • Oversight of business planning activities, regulatory requirements, compliance plans, change initiatives, incident and breach reporting, controls, and associated assessments/attestations
  • Cultivating and fostering enduring relationships with the business and the Office of Responsible Entities
  • Facilitating end-to-end engagement with other Risk Management functions, including the 'head of' cohort
  • Contributing to board/committee reporting

In return for your expertise and leadership, we offer a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on your experience. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package, including flexible working arrangements, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive work environment.

Applicants must have an undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, Law, or a relevant field, as well as significant experience in a similar role within the asset management sector (ideally 5 years). Knowledge of operational risk and compliance principles and frameworks is essential, as is experience working in complex businesses undergoing significant transformation.
