About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Care Worker to join our team at KinCare in Launceston. As a Home Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our customers to live independently at home for longer.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping, ensuring our customers have access to nutritious food and essential items.
  • Offer social support and access to lifestyle activities, helping our customers stay engaged and connected with their community.
  • Provide personal care, including assistance with mobility, therapy goals, and medication management, to support our customers' physical and emotional well-being.
  • Offer respite and emotional support to our customers and their families, providing a sense of calm and reassurance.
  • Transport our customers to appointments and provide social support, helping them stay connected with their community.
  • Provide complex care for customers with high care needs, including dementia, requiring a high level of compassion and understanding.

What We Look for in a Care Worker
  • You have a genuine passion for assisting our aged community and a commitment to supporting them to live independently at home for longer.
  • You hold a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle, with a willingness to travel to support our customers.
  • You are able to remain calm and composed in challenging situations, prioritizing the needs of our customers and their families.
  • You are available to work at least 3 days a week, Monday to Friday, with a flexible approach to scheduling to meet the needs of our customers.
  • You are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, with a willingness to ask for support when needed.
