Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our team in Launceston, providing high-quality care to older individuals in their homes.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position offering guaranteed hours and shifts. As a Care Worker, you will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities, providing emotional support, and facilitating social connections for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry services;
  • Assist with meal preparation and shopping;
  • Provide social support and facilitate access to lifestyle activities;
  • Offer respite and emotional support;
  • Transport customers to appointments;
  • Provide complex care for customers with high needs, such as dementia.

  • A competitive salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience);

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle;
  • The ability to work independently and find solutions to everyday problems;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with customers who may have complex needs;
  • Availability to work at least 3 days per week, Monday to Friday.
