About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to join our KinCare team in North Launceston. As a Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting our aged customers to live independently at home.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide domestic assistance, including cleaning and laundry, to ensure our customers' homes are safe and comfortable.
  2. Assist with meal preparation, shopping, and other daily tasks to promote independence.
  3. Offer social support and access to lifestyle activities to enhance our customers' quality of life.
  4. Provide respite and emotional support to our customers and their families.
  5. Transport customers to appointments and provide social support during outings.
  6. Deliver complex care services, including dementia care, to customers with high care needs.

Requirements

  • You care about assisting our aged community and are passionate about supporting them to live independently at home.
  • You hold a current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle – travel is part of the role.
  • You are able to remain calm and composed, even in challenging situations, and are comfortable working independently.
  • You are available to work at least 3 days - Monday to Friday, with no night or weekend work.
