Job Opportunity: Executive Officer Role

Candidates are sought to fill a challenging position as an Executive Officer, requiring high-level organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic executive team environment.

  • This role involves providing support in managing and administering a facility, coordinating internal and external reporting requirements, planning activities, and leadership meetings.
  • The ideal candidate will have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience, excellent written communication skills, and strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • A confident and pro-active approach, with a proven ability to work collaboratively both internally and externally, is essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level advice and support to stakeholders on external interactions.
  • Analyse complex issues, develop appropriate responses, and make sound decisions under pressure or with limited information.
  • Lead or manage sensitive projects aligned with strategic priorities and research objectives.
  • Build collaborative relationships across teams and maintain strong relationships with external partners.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess strong project management skills, including planning, engagement, monitoring, and reporting. They will also have high-level organisational skills, including the ability to independently manage competing demands, establish or renegotiate priorities, and meet deadlines.

Benefits
  • Salary: AU$131k – AU$153k per annum (pro rata for part-time), plus 15.4% superannuation.
  • Tenure & work schedule: Indefinite, full time. Options for part-time, job-share and flexible work arrangements can be discussed based on needs of role and individual circumstances.
