Job Overview

We support individuals through workplace injury recovery, helping them rebuild confidence and return to meaningful work through tailored rehabilitation.

The role is a Rehabilitation Counsellor based in Newcastle, NSW, available on a full-time or part-time basis.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage complex physical and psychological injury cases and provide health coaching, career guidance, and return-to-work support
  • Perform vocational assessments both in-person and virtually
  • Create networks within NSW to promote employer engagement
  • Utilise evidence-based psychosocial risk assessment tools to achieve positive outcomes
Key Requirements
  • Degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology
  • Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW, or APHRA
  • Experience in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector is highly desirable though not required
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation, with the ability to establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships
  • Strong attention to detail with a results-focused approach
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Ability to undertake research and prepare, collate, and organise data for reporting
  • Ability to follow administrative procedures accurately and efficiently
  • Current Australian driver's licence and access to own vehicle
  • Police clearance and a Working with Children check
