
Career Rehabilitation Specialist

We support individuals through workplace injury recovery, helping them rebuild confidence and return to meaningful work through tailored rehabilitation.
The role is a Rehabilitation Counsellor based in Newcastle, NSW, available on a full-time or part-time basis.
Main Responsibilities- Manage complex physical and psychological injury cases and provide health coaching, career guidance, and return-to-work support
- Perform vocational assessments both in-person and virtually
- Create networks within NSW to promote employer engagement
- Utilise evidence-based psychosocial risk assessment tools to achieve positive outcomes
- Degree in Rehabilitation Counselling, Social Work, Provisional Psychology, or Psychology
- Eligibility for registration with ASORC, AASW, or APHRA
- Experience in a similar role within the Occupational Rehabilitation sector is highly desirable though not required
- Highly developed interpersonal skills including negotiation and consultation, with the ability to establish and sustain effective stakeholder relationships
- Strong attention to detail with a results-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Ability to undertake research and prepare, collate, and organise data for reporting
- Ability to follow administrative procedures accurately and efficiently
- Current Australian driver's licence and access to own vehicle
- Police clearance and a Working with Children check
