
Mental Health Advocate – Community Healthcare Specialist

This position is crucial in the delivery of healthcare services with the highest impact.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with Local Court Magistrates to divert defendants with mental health issues from the Criminal Justice System into community-based care.
">Essential Requirements- A relevant postgraduate qualification in mental health is mandatory.
- A current NSW Driver's Licence is also required.
Applicants must meet specific criteria for each of the following roles:
">Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2- Registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and full registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) are essential.
- Five years of full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, including at least three years in an acute mental health setting, are necessary.
- Qualifications recognized for registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia are mandatory.
- General registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia and five years of full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, including at least three years in an acute mental health setting, are necessary.
- A minimum Bachelor's degree in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers or other qualifications deemed equivalent by the employer are mandatory.
- Five years of full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, including at least three years in an acute mental health setting, are necessary.
- Either a four-year degree in psychology with honours or a qualification deemed equivalent by the employer are mandatory.
- General registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and five years of full-time equivalent post-registration clinical experience, including at least three years in an acute mental health setting, are necessary.
